Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E.h. A. Erman Tekkaya

Dr. A. Erman Tekkaya is currently professor and the director of the Institute for Metal Forming and Lightweight Components (IUL) at the Technische Universität Dortmund in Dortmund/ Germany. His research interests cover fundamentals and technology of novel metal forming processes as well as material characterization for modelling the material behavior during plastic deformations. Some of the current research projects are on thermo-mechanical sheet forming processes, profile bending, hot extrusion, impact extrusion, damage-controlled metal forming, the plane torsion test, remote material testing and metal forming including augmented reality applications. Dr. Tekkaya is fellow of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) and member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde (DGM). He is Editor-in-Chief of the CIRP Annals and the former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Materials Processing Technology (JMPT). He is member of the Board of Trustees of the German Research Association for Steel Application (FOSTA). Dr. Tekkaya is currently the Chairman of The German Metal Forming Association (AGU).

University of Lisbon, Portugal

Paulo Martins is professor of manufacturing at the University of Lisbon, doctor technices honoris causa by the Technical University of Denmark, member of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) and advisor member of the Standing Advisory Board of the International Conference on Technology of Plasticity (ICTP). He is co‐author of six books, several international patents and over 400 papers in international journals and conferences. His main research interest is manufacturing – numerical and experimental analysis and development of forming and joining by forming processes.

Prof. Philippe Boisse

Université de Lyon, France

Philippe Boisse is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Université de Lyon, France. He obtained his PhD at University Paris 6. His fields of research are Composite forming, Textile composites, Mechanics of fibrous/textile materials, Finite element simulations for forming processes and Thermoforming of thermoplastic composites.
He is currently President of the French Association for Composites Materials (AMAC). He has been President of ESAFORM from 2008 to 2012. He is the director of the GDR (Group of Research) CNRS on composite manufacturing. P. Boisse is Associated Editor of the International Journal of Material Forming (Springer). He is a member of the ‘Institut Universitaire de France’ (IUF).

Prof. Dr. Hitomi Yamaguchi Greenslet

University of Florida, USA

Dr. Yamaguchi has been an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida, USA, since October 2017. In 1996, she received her doctorate from Utsunomiya University, Japan. She has served as Associate Professor at Utsunomiya University and Research Associate at the University of Tokyo, Japan. Her research interests have evolved throughout her career and now include ultra-precision finishing (magnetic field-assisted finishing), surface functionalization, and medical-device development. Her work has been published in over 85 refereed journal papers, and she has been granted 8 patents. She has received several awards, including Outstanding Young Engineer awards from JSME in 1995, SME in 2000, and JSAT in 2003. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Scientific Technical Committee for Abrasive Processes (STC-G) of CIRP (the International Academy for Production Engineering). She also serves as the Past-President of the North American Manufacturing Research Institute of SME. In recognition of her contributions, she has been elected a fellow of both ASME and SME.

Mr. Joachim Zettler

APWORKS GmbH, Germany

Joachim Zettler is the Managing Director of APWORKS, a 100 % subsidiary of Premium AEROTEC focusing on Additive Manufacturing.
He became the founding CEO when APWORKS was initiated in 2013. Since the launch of the company he established the market activities in various industries such as automotive, robotics, mechanical engineering, medical technology and aerospace.
Having a strong background in production technology for small- to large scale aerospace and automotive components, Joachim Zettler has been working since 2005 at the Airbus Group as a Project Manager and Technical Consultant. During his time at Airbus he mainly worked for the civil aircraft business of Airbus in France on manufacturing process optimization and supported the introduction of lean manufacturing methods.
He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Technical University of Munich and did specialize in production methods.
